NCC Meeting Minutes January 17, 2008
MINUTES Northbrook Cycle Committee January 17, 2008 Village Green 7:00 p.m.
ATTENDANCE: Present: Aram Bayzaee, Stacie Brown, George Garner Jr., Jim O’Conell, Mike Kirby, Kristen Arntzen, Chris Mailing, Barry Taerbaum, Harold Berman, Mark Suri.
- Call to order;7:25pm by Aram Bayzaee
- Vote on Current slate of NCC candidates was approved.
- Vote on 2 Nominee positions was approved.
- Below are the new 2008 NCC Board of Directors.

- V.P. of Rider Development - Harold Berman
- Government Relations Director - Mark Harris - Absent
- Race Director - Manfred Ray - Absent
- Communications Director - Mike Kirby
- Public Relations Director - Kristen Arntzen
- Sponsorship Director - Vacant
Treasurer - Mark Suri - Secretary Director - Jim Weaver-absent
Discussions:
- 2008 Race Dates are May 15 –Sept 11.
- The NB Velodrome website hosted by Graham Fisk, is always evolving. We have a new “calendar” link witch will offer the racers a view of the Velodromes activities a month at a time.
- Barry Taerbaum suggested an adbook to be created to generate funds for the track.
- The possibilities of getting a 2day Kenosha/Northbrook race challenge.
- Barry offered $250 if the 50+ field can be scored separate in the Masters racing for 2008.
- See if the NB Jr High Choir would sing at the Velodrome in May of June.
- Racing schedule has a rain date for the final race on 9-4-08, rain date is 9-11-08 and will be sponsored by Barry Taerbaum. A mention of off duty military is a possibility.
- The Monday and Tuesday training nights hosted by Harld Berman and Kevin Perez will be more of a detailed training program, complimenting the race schedule of events.
- T-Shirt Design contest could be done by all velodrome racers or fans.
