Northbrook Cycle Committee
March 27, 2008

7:00 p.m.
ATTENDANCE:

Present: Aram Bayzaee, Stacie Brown, George Garner Jr., Jim O’Donnell, Mike Kirby, Kristen Arntzen, Kevin Perez, Brendan George, Dave Fowkes, Harold Berman, Mark Suri.

1) Call to order 7:15pm by Aram Bayzaee

THE OFFICERS:

A. President - Aram Bayzaee
Aram will get the goody bag for the racers together. Tshirt bid has come in at $750 for 200 shirts. Approx $75-$85 per sponsor, design will be like the 2007 vest.

B. V.P. of Rider Development - Harold Berman
Monday and Tuesday training nights flyer created.
Permits have been submitted to USA Cycling.
VQ/Robbie Ventura must be added to the training schedule permits…Dave Fowkes confirmed this.

C. Government Relations Director - Mark Harris - Absent

D. Race Director - Manfred Ray - Absent
Dave Fowkes confirms that the entire years schedule is done and is on PDF docs.

E. Communications Director - Mike Kirby

F. Public Relations Director - Kristen Arntzen
Mentor program outline has been created.
Hillsboro received the Turin water bottles “The Track Is Back”.
Mark Suri reimbursed the $55 shipping fee immediately.
How early do we need to give Zengler for the board on Dundee Rd?
Free admission coupon draft was distributed to all in attendance.
Ladies Clinic in May 31 and cost for attendees has not been created yet.

G. Sponsorship Director - Vacant

H. Treasurer - Mark Suri
The cashbox was finally received from Manfred Ray. Deposits will be made immediately.

J. Secretary Director - Jim Weaver-absent

Discussions:
Dave Fowkes said the upgrade policy via USA Cycling eliminated Non-USA Cycling venues as qualifying racing. Kenosha would not count.
Dave said the ICA has a new jig to control and confirm the UCI legal dimensions for track bikes. Anyone interested in participating in UCI events should get their bike measured.
Stacie Brown said Rehabilitation Institute Of Chicago has shown interest in the balustrades. Discussions regarding having an entry level “package” that includes boards, and race night sponsorship should be printed and added to the website.
