Weather Cancellation updates for Thursday Night racing

Thursday night weather cancellation. This is always a touchy subject. So to try and address this issue, this year we are going to try and provide better communication to riders and fans. We'll be sending an email to the general, women, and junior list if racing is cancelled for the evening.

Online Registration for Season Pass and Individual Thursday Night racing

Online registration through sportsbaseonline.com is now available Season Passes and individual Thursday night racing in May. Registration for the Women's Track Clinic on May 29th is also available. Links to the Season Pass, individual events, and women's clinic are below.

Track Cycling:  Velodrome creates trophy race for women

Northbrook, Illinois – January 16, 2005 – For the first time in its history, the Ed Rudolph Northbrook Velodrome will be unveiling a new event exclusively for women competitors.  This summer the Elaine Nekritz Trophy race will be held and it is the hope of the velodrome to increase women participation in track cycling.

A 30 lap points race will be contested by category 1/2/3 and a 15 lap by category 4 women racers. This race format will provide beginner women (category 4) the opportunity to compete against women of equal abilities while allowing them the honor to be recognized for their efforts.   The name of winners of both groups will be engraved on the trophy and become part of this historic moment.
